WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump on Wednesday reverted and was recognized as the Israeli capital, Jerusalem, despite warnings from around the world, a sign again between Israel and Palestine, the decade of US policy.
In his speech, Trump’s White House said his administration should begin the process of transferring the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which is expected to last for years.
The status of Jerusalem – home to the sanctuaries of Muslims, Jews and Christianity – is one of the most difficult things for long-term peace efforts in the Middle East.
Israel considers the city as a permanent and inseparable capital and wants all the embassies there. Palestine wants an independent Palestinian state in the eastern capital of the city, whose Israel won in the Middle East in 1967 and connected to circulation, which has never been recognized internationally.
Trump’s decision could lead his main supporters – a conservative Republican and conservative Christian, which is largely his political base.
Reality of Jerusalem’s
Trump assistant argued that the movement reflects the reality of Jerusalem’s Jewish faith center and the fact that the city is a place for the Israeli government.
Trump called for his decision to promote a long waiting period for the peace process.
I decided that it is time to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, “Trump said,” although the previous president has made this great promise of campaign, they have not succeeded.
Trump acted under the 1995 law, which required the United States to transfer the embassy to Jerusalem. His predecessors, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama, have always been delayed to keep tensions from spreading in the Middle East.
