The train derailed at the Railway Station

All inbound and outbound rail traffic to Pittsburgh, according to the Pittsburgh Port Authority, is suspended after the derailment of the train.

Norway’s Norfolk freight train derailed around 1 am Sunday and landed on the port’s route near the station.

Train stations are located above the portside sections of the slope.

Port authorities’ crews were sent to assess damage, said Portuguese spokesman Adam Brandolph.

Riders are still able to get out of town.

Buses will be available at South Bank on Blue Line and at Potomac in Dormont on the red line.
