Greater Manchester Chapel Street is closed to Blackfriars Road and Bailey Street when police investigate the site.

Lowry Hotel has not been notified to be moved; However, the Great Manchester Police (GMP) has created a 100-meter formation.
GMP’s Twitter dissertation said, “Police were invited to report suspicious items on construction sites on Clowes Street and Chapel Street in Ordsall.
“The bomb specialist is looking for an incident of 100 meters and wires, including the surrounding area of the Lowry Hotel.
“Suppose the target can be a device of World War II.”
Salford police asked, “Avoid the Salford Cathedral catastrophe because of the ongoing police scene, and we’re trying to talk about closing the road at night.”
At the same time, the witness told the Manchester Evening News: “The new police arrived at the building to advise them to find what they thought was a WWII bomb.
“There is no transfer at this time because they are not 100% sure.”
